Baseball has many math concepts in it. Some of these are the velocity at which the ball is thrown, the batting ratio of the players, and how far you hit the ball while batting. For example, if you stationary ball with a bat it won't go as far as a bat hitting a ball that is thrown at 96 mph.
Another example is how fast the players run. Some players run at 10 mph, while others could only run 7 mph.

The difference between the two runners is 3 mph.
Let's say that you swing the bat 70 mph, the ball will go farther if you swing at a faster rate of speed, like 90 mph. 90-70=30, so there is a 30 mph difference.
