Math in swimming
Swimming has lots of math in it. Some of the math that is involved in swimming the ratio of speed per 25 yards. For example if you swim 25 yards in 15 seconds than if you have a good endurance you should be able to swim 50 yards in 30 seconds.
15:25 50
To solve this you would do 25 times 2 = 50
So 15*2 = 30
So if you are swimming a 100 you might slow down a few seconds so we can add maybe 5 seconds for every 100 yards.
Ok so if you are swimming 200 yards you might slow down by about 10 seconds.
15:25 :200
15*8= 120
120/60 = 2
So if you had decent endurance and you could swim 25 yards in 15 seconds and you slow down 5-10 seconds every 100 then you can swim 200 yards somewhere about 2 minutes and 10 seconds to 2 minutes and 20 seconds... That is if you can sprint a 200.
